A new group of freshmen will join collegiate soccer programs throughout the country in 2007. Only a relatively small percentage of all those who play high school or club soccer have the opportunity to play collegiate soccer. An even smaller subset of those individuals will ever experience the excitement of playing in an NCAA Tournament match and an even smaller number will experience the thrill of being in a Final Four. But the bottom line is that all who have a passion for the game will benefit from the experience of playing collegiate soccer. College Soccer News salutes all the freshmen who will join the collegiate ranks in 2007. Listed below in alphabetical order is CSN’s annual list of 100 freshman to keep an eye on. It is not an exhaustive list and there will always be surprises so some very talented freshmen who will no doubt end up making an impact are not included. The college each of the newcomers will represent is highlighted. |
